Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Prints by the sink
where she often
comes to drink

Prints on the seat
of the toilet
aren’t so neat

Prints on the bed
Little dimples
across the spread

Prints on the hutch
in hair and dust
she lays so much

Prints in my lap
She’d been outside
before our nap

Prints in my house
Oh everywhere
None from a mouse

Prints on my car
windshield and all
acts like a star

Prints on the top
as you walk by
heads she'll whop

Prints all in red
smear cement
CRUNCH rat is dead
(thanks Jerry for inspiring the last 3 stanzas)

Heh.Heh A mouse-proof house, and all it took were a few thousand and one "prints" to discourage those nasty little critters. Nice, fun poem with a definite message.

Yeah Jerry, and I didn't even mention all the prints on my car!

Heh.Heh Ahhh . . . I'm happy I caused you to write more to "Prints." You tied it all up wonderfully, although Owl may not like that you killed the rat. Heh.Heh again..

I think Owl understands the nature of things and why there where no mice in the house...

Jerry is right.  Owl doesn't like that you killed the little sweetie-pie.  And no, Owl doesn't understand the nature of things, if killing rats is the nature of things.

A very sad

I'm so sorry Owl. I had no idea all your pets are vegan. I never imagined...Would never have invited you to read. I do apologize.
