The night of the storm
wipes clear the effect
of the rainbow man

the kismet of colors collides
as the clouds now reverse
the sun's incantation

and your moment of glory
pales, amid the dwindling
daylight, though conjuring hope
upon the welcome
of Spring's new branches

and I hold on,
stubbornly, yet painfully
to the Magic
of our first and only kiss

Ahhh . . . Memories, sweet and sometimes not so sweet stay with us throughout our lives. This one is special.

Exquisite beauty born of excrutiating pain!  If only the world would do this with their pain, what a wonderful world it would be (à la Louis Armstrong).
