Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Heidi Fay
is due in May
The first grandchild of mine
and I’m on cloud nine
I can’t wait to see her
hold and kiss and squeeze her
I’m sure she’ll be sweet as she can be
and look just like me
I’ll be her grandma
Granny , Grams or Memaw
I’ll change her and rock her
burb her and walk her
I’ll sing her the “Birdie” song
and pass that lullaby along
We will pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo
I’ll read her stories (a zillion and two)
I can’t wait to be her Grandmother
because I already love her.

Ahhh, a wonderful and great news poem, even if I had to outline it to read. First grandbaby, and yes, I guess you do sound very, VERY excited. Congratulations!

Thanks Jerry! We go tomorrow to see my son and mama to be. I'm hoping for the first time to get a chance to feel Heidi kick.

Thanks Rex!  I'm stoked! You know I framed the poem! And wrapped it up for the baby shower too!

Thanks Ida and Jo! Now I'm more excited than ever! Mama is doing great and my son is wonderfully worried.  They are in the process of moving into their first home. I can't wait until may!
