Its because she never loved you...

They broke a thousand hearts
They destroyed every dream
They told you how it had to be
They told you how it would end.

Their words were the weapons
Brutally wielded, cutting deep
It was mere truth that salts
Then I lie my head down and weep

A lie unveiled the future failed
So I hold out my hands
I show where once placed a heart
Now merely times sand

And they said
And they spoke
And I cried
Its because she never loved you

I aint as good as I once was but I'm as good, once, as I ever was. - Toby Keith

Never accept a second opinion and never follow your instincts.

I've heard that said Walter, but I never believed it.

Yours is a paradox in poetry and a tragedy of affections splendidly crafted.

Touch, but don't look

Sometimes love just plain sucks
(is that what makes us suckers?)
been there done that
been there done that

Thanks for the reminder.

Heh.Heh I agree with Lori's summation.

~*~ Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion, than fade and wither dismally with age.--James Joyce ~*~
