being in love
can be a collective headache
the ups and the downs
take their toll
no matter how much love is given
it can be the outstanding flaw
discoloring raison d'être
unfortunately the symptoms
of authentic love
are suspicion which leads to
paranoia and possessiveness
watching for something
that isn’t there
the most innocent of remarks
or a smile
causes the recipient of his
mistrust can spell doom quickly in a romance
ahhh . . .
on the other hand
your every waking moment
filled with wanting her knock on your door
the touch of her
a look
a loving look
sigh . . .
buck up lover of her
would you tolerate such anguish
from anyone but hers?

I've tried to formulate it, but ultimately I knew I never could. Therefore, I always accepted it on its own term without negotiation.

It (Love) gave me no other choice.

Touch, but don't look

hello jerry, I agree with lot of verses, and the poem is so true about ambiguity of loving someone, darkness and light in perpetual fight, as time pass, questions stand up and we do so, thanks a lot for the sharung,

yann

This line jumped out at me. However authentic your love may be, it isn't very mature or secure.

... suspicion which leads to
paranoia and possessiveness
watching for something
that isn’t there...

Healthy love can't grow like that.
