.

Lies all around
Lies everywhere
Adverts and politics
Broadcast
Online

Lies on your mind
Curses and swears
Drop from your lips
Labels of mine

What is the cause?
Where is the truth?
Why have you chosen
To paint me black?

Making it worse
Thinking to soothe
Hoping you’re closer
To getting back

Look in my eyes!
Hear my voice!
You’re mistaken
In me so hard

All of your lies
Are nothing but noise
Love is the beacon
Inside your heart

Gale, we live in a constant state of lies I'm convinced. We all do it to one extent or another, but there are some who seem to make it their life. Politicians come to mind, as do self centered lovers.

Oh, yes, Jerry, they do. But still it's a matter of our choice what to believe in

I think I'm a liar too, but it's not those dirty lies from TV for the sake of some profit, and not the lies of blaming someone to look better myself. Sometimes people ask about my doings and the motives, but at that moment I have no reasonable arguments, which they'd like to get from me. Honestly what is reasonable for me can be sheer nonsense for them, so I invent something in their style.
I'm a sinner as well

Gale, you are one of the most honest people I know.  When people ask you things they have no right to ask you, you have every right to choose whatever way you want to deal with it.  To be blatantly honest can sometimes be rude and hurtful, so to say something polite to avoid telling them what they had no right to ask, is, in my humble opinion, a lie, yes, but one you have every right to tell, and that doesn't brand you as a liar.  We are all sinners, yes.  But you are not a liar.

Just like my Golden. Lies around all the time. His heart is like his coat though, and he owes his beacon to Dentastix.

Gale - it's called Diplomacy and Tact. For most part missing in today's dealings, both on a personal and public level. And I am not really referring to the thin, purely fake  veneer - but rather something deeper, stemming from an innate understanding and compassion.

I think you are/were being 'tactful'...

(Sorry, Gale, for intruding, but you know I could never resist saying hello to an animal, lol!)

The world is full of fertilizer Gale, you are correct. The secret is to know how much is good for you and how much is toxic. You are a pearl, watch out for swine.

Owl, thank you for reading and your support!
I guess who I am )
I remember the most of my sins and lies. It's my weakness or it's just my fate, I don't know: so often when I say the truth I'm just not believed. And I try to keep people calm with my lies, it's easier for us, but I'm not sure that it's better. The only thing I try not to do is... well, I shouldn't lie to myself.

Hello, Yann!
Thank you for reading!
And I have to say that you're right in a sense.
It's a real information warfare, we all are victims of it, and there is the limit when the best thing we can do is to close our minds for that flood of lies and listen to our hearts.

Jack, I know dogs with really golden hearts.
Recently I read a story of one. That was an old dog, deaf and lame, and his owner decided to drown him. He threw the dog from the boat in the middle of the river, but the dog swam after the boat. Then the man struck the dog by the oar, but at that moment he lost his balance and fell out of the boat. And the dog saved him, pulled him to the bank.
I hope, that dog has taught the man something, because we get known the story.

CG,
Lori,
thank you very much for reading and replying!

Not all lies are diplomacy and tact of course.
I know that we can't live saying only the truth, because we often even don't know what and where the truth is. And sometimes we lie thinking that we say the truth.
