Phaedra's Womb

not an unfamiliar sound
though I can't place the face

I know the impression
of a heavy step

a quickened heart
in 4/4 time

I have seen the glistening
of moonlight on cold steel

how it cuts through dark nights
with surgical precision

warm and thick
a reward flows quietly

egyptian cotton
pooled and rumpled

an easy breeze wafting
over it's edge

a stifled whimpering
a brief ecstasy

then darkness
grows darker still

until at last
she is my own

Touch, but don't look

Great imagery. I especially like the title and how it consummates the content.
