Phaedra's Womb

flinging wishes out
among myriad stars
she awaits their return
to her quiet heart

wishes, once dreams
floating above her
as she rested upon
a sea of goose feathers

a soft light leaks
through her moist lashes
promising protection for
the hurting in her heart

an illumination which
will not betray her
in giving another promise
to be fulfilled
when the stars shine once more...

and her wish for love comes true

Touch, but don't look

Like the feel to this one, Jack.  First stanza is great.

And all live happily ever afterward.

Love without tears.  I'd like to try that.

quote:
"Love without tears"

A deeper interpretation than I had expected and in near perfect harmony with this line of the writing:

"through her moist lashes".

...maybe it was just raining that day. You don't want to nap outdoors on a feather bed, goose or otherwise.
