There are diamonds in the snow,
I saw them glistening at dawn,
It was sadness to see them go,
Past noon brightly was the sun.
I heard quick dripping then to slow
As darkness claimed the twilight.

Tomorrow comes and the snow is ice.

Clouds blocks the sunrise sliding into the sky,
Almost skipping over the dawn
Becoming a dismal morning of chill wind,
Slipping on the spirit of the snow
The skies sleet on everything and one
And in darkness covers all till light.

The next day the sun might push toward spring.

You managed to capture the magic of snow, glistening snow at that, Gloom. The images you imprinted on my mind as I read this delightful poem, was, as I stated earlier . . . magic.

Spirits of snow rise as seasons exchange beauty for beauty. Your poetry stares unflinchingly at the transition.

A metamorphosis viewed in my melting snow cone.

Those who look PG, see.

Touch, but don't look
