Speck of soot in a
leafless tree or rag blown
wildly on winter wind, plunging
earthward onto another victim of
freezing cruelty. Aqueous green fields
death traps for some, bounty
for you, barking a death
rattle to the core of
trembling creatures, their soft bodies
you will soon inspect closely.

Sounds like a job for Greenpeace.

Touch, but don't look

Deeply sad but good writing, Phil.
