My days are mere slices
of crust
from a tree

Slivers of sentiment, trying
to plea

Leaflets of letters confined
in a book

Loaded with I’s that are trying
to look

Looking for oceans where couplets
are blue

Floating on currents and swells,
of seduce

The wind is now gasping, the air
is now pulled

The surge is tide over,
the moon is now full

We are seasoning purpose
forgot

We are the essence that destiny
bought

The thrashing, of thyme
is drowning
in flavor

Only the blending of spirit
can savor

Open your senses and, taste
every letter

The page is my salt and the
wording
is pepper

My, but we're intent with desire today, Richy.
