My foresight and reality are one,
I cannot divide them in two, you see;
They help me as I look toward the sun,
Foresight, reality and I are three.
My heart tells me no, look back to the past,
I calm my heart with tenderness and care,
And say there is a future unsurpassed,
If we but reach for it, it will be there.
This inner struggle has cost us a lot,
The pursuit of the beyond scares us both,
Still, it's not too late a dream to be sought,
A paltry weed needs the sun for its growth.
     We wake up and look for the morning light,
     From it we ascend to infinite heights.

Well, kiss my grits! Mr. Romantic is at work again. And as always, it is a pleasure my friend.

Jerry,While in this mood go further. Some of the sweetest times in my life were from age 65 to 72 when I had a chance to be with some one who was really able to share his feelings and helped me to feel was really loved. (Shhhh this is a secret from me it you, but true)

best to you. jo

That is a very sweet thing to hear, Jo. I happy you had that in your life. I'll be turning seventy-six in a little over a month from now.

"Even a paltry weed needs the sun". So many profound thoughts here. This one I chose speaks the loudest to me and I'm only half-way up that ladder you're on. Really enjoyed reading this.
