Extended

I extended myself to you
It is
My face that burrows
in your neck
and murmurs
good mornings
My arms that reach
to hug you
My lips that seek yours
to kiss you goodbye

Very sad day for someone.

Has the appropriate recipient of your affections read this?

Perhaps the experience alone was more than sufficient..actions speaking louder and all that.

Is there to be a 'sequel' upon his return? Will we be reading about that as well?

Inquiring minds want to know...like mine.

I plead the 5th! No, he hasn't read it, I prefer let him hear it again and again from the old nag's mouth. I'm the one that returns home from work (he works from home)
Sequel? Undoubtedly, I pretty well write about everything eventually. All my ups and downs, whines and frowns find their way to  paper. Thanks for asking.

acts of extension like that that aren't reciprocal have a way of eventually retracting..

sometimes it seems like you can't learn whats not in you..

some family's are tight and rigid

my family on the other hand is kissy and huggy haha

they say opposites attract..

no one ever said.. they last

some couple invest sooooooo much time in each other.. that like the banks that got bailed out..

their almost too big, to fail

like you said in an earlier piece.. "complicated as a knot"

To be, or knot to be..

so thats why they call it, tying the knot..

i wish you'd stop getting me thinking here..
I'm figuring out too much of my own stuff and thats not always good haha

another great one Lori

Thanks Richy! I confess to being high maintenence in the affection department. I justify it because it doesn't cost anything
and it only take a few moments here and there.

hey im with you Lori..

youd think it costs a million bucks a hug sometimes..

thats the one thing anyone in a relationship should never want for, is affection

again, that tangled webbing right..

hey.. give yourself a hug from all of us and do it often..

you deserve it

Enjoyed your post Lori and the answers back and forth from others. Richy hit it on the nose, skipping the lips, like most family  members do.Within a large family you have both type and it takes a while to find which one wears the largest bubble around them and if you should try to break it or not. It would make a difference if the bang that would make it too much for the bearer and thereby the popper also.  best to you all. jo

Thanks for the group hug Richy, bless your heart!

Somebody get Max a tissue and a cup of coffee.

Jo-I live in a house where I can have as many hugs as I want. All I have to do is ask... and then go get it.

It is okay Jo, Point being (for me) I shouldn't have to ask (every time) he should want to come hug me (sometimes)
