"torn between two worlds"
she suddenly blurted out
while sitting on her throne

like I didn't know
that a dog goes wherever
the food dish is, right?

lappers are a hardy bunch
no shortage at the birthing mill
drop a dime and take home a dozen.

pick'n a tune for the lonely hearts
those most distant from the crib
I pry a smile with the neck of my D-18.

"so I see your leavin' us"
I shout to the door
man, that door slammed hard!

with a shape like that
seeing her leave
was the best part of seeing her

it’s a better class you find
when the second set crowd arrives
more smoke and fewer mirrors
