Words are such
a humble offering
of the soul

Yet with the
touch of the Poet…

visions spring
emotions soar
connections sing

They bring us
joy and angst
sorrow and smiles
frustration and love

Above all
they bring us Love

Love of life
nature
and each other

Love in all its
shapes and size

Love in all
the ways it colors
our lives

You captured the soul of those who try, day after day, to capture the meaning, the whys and why nots of a world they can't comprehend, or they are trying make peace with themselves. Poets R Us.

If everyone tries, then everyone succeeds in poetry.
Humans want to relate and yearn to be understood.

This, to me...is what fuels the engine of poetry.

I haven't yet found a chevron befitting a 'poet' that could express to me more than their words, regardless of their assembly, spoken or written.

Lori, you are so right to say that "words are such a humble offering of the soul".

Great work.

Thanks 'Teaser.

Never underestimate the power of a poet to take you somewhere you have never been before.  That is the best part, seeing the world through a different set of eyes, feeling with a different heart.

The poet does stir the senses, which in many, benefit from such a stir to awaken to a beautiful day, no matter what

Lori i think this is my new favorite of your's..

it is nice how our words can touch another in ways our fingers can't..

whether its the lack of it or the abundance, just like you say, words do:

"Above all they bring us love"

your poetry is blooming these days
