I like it early

in the morning
when it is still
dark outside

I like it
in the kitchen
while the pot
is filling

I like it hot
I like it strong
but sweet…

I like the first
cup to hit the pot
as it brews

I empty it
into my cup
already waiting
with sweet milk

I pour and drink
without scalding

my sugar lust sated
Moo Juice ingested
caffeine consumed
full consciousness
resumed

I like it early

I like the scene you wrote of and relate to to that early morning quiet just me there too...just make mine green tea spiked with cinnamon instead

okay you had me going there for a second but i just knew that you were going to yank the rug out at the end with a pleasant surprise..

yes nothing like the weekend mornings where you can blend your favorite brew with your favorite creamer and just enjoy.. now i want another cup myself..
