(This is really silly stretching)

http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140203.html

Lookin’ for the green
not just any green,
but greener green

Like Erma Bombeck—
greener green, “over the septic tank”
greener green

Headin’ out
beyond what eye can see
till I can see
what’s calling me

Yet, not of my volition
do I head out on this mission
for I’m but a hunk of metal
built to satisfy some fellow

Who thinks
there’s always somethin’ greener
betwixt
or betweener

If he could store up
for the ready
what makes me
wise and extra heady

He’d know
by now
there’s no way
no how

Than tendin’
to the scene
right out
the front door screen

‘Stead o’ traipsin’
‘cross the country-side
lookin’ here and there
and far and wide

Better stay
right by her side
or end up
just like me

Scramblin’ ‘cross
a moonlit sea
ne’er to return
to ye.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

That was me for two lost decades. You called it like it was, Virginia.
