. Baseballs He does what I have yearned to do as well So easily you know it flows with the arc of baseballs in a mid-flight-from-outfield -to-second-base-and-home-plate-night-game Smouldering moon over fallen black embers Rising in corkscrew red-gold rhythms So easily the smack of distant leather The eyes of past lives squinted shut and forward eyes seized by the moment, merge in the slur of motion ball-to-glove to escape velo... Peanuts, beer and hotdog vendors shouting— urging with every screaming throat Out! You buncha losers! C'mon cmon cmon! Safe! —Look up and brush off the decision [This message has been edited by KJOTT (02-05-2014 05:50 PM).] |
