Months past the exodus
of both bluebird and leave

squirrels play peekaboo
in the tangle of branches

snow keeps on falling
attaching itself
to the heart of the tree.

Love the image of the squirrels playing. But "this" . . .
quote:
Months past the exodus
of both bluebird and leave

I understand and know a little about.

There are walnut trees around, so squirrel watching is a 'happening' here.

They're quite safe and often bring nuts onto the front porch to shell.

Now if I could only teach them to sweep.

You must enjoy them as well. I'm certain the little friends would be pleased to know.

How lovely this is.  It's like looking out my window on a Saturday afternoon... lovely.
