In winters north sky
Cosmic dreams shimmer and dance
In the afterglow
Of an incandescent moon

A polar vortex descends
An invisible artic wall
Of swirling frigid breath
That crystallizes the very air

Moonbeams shatter
Into trillions of twinkling stars
As time its self
Is frozen in space

Your poetry finds some respite within the heart of old man winter. As clean and clear as the winter skies themselves.

People of the seasons are a tough breed. Thoroughly enjoyable read.

Thanks Bluesy, I'm taking it one frigid day at a time.

Well, Kitty-cat, one frigid day at a time or not, you have turned the freeze into a beauteous picture to be long savoured by me, and not just because it is glory-warm here on a perfect South African summer's day.  Magnificent!  One of your very best that I have read.

This is very good poetry, Kat. Your words, their position and feeling are perfectly alined.
