If I had a nickel to spend,
I think I'd place it in my pocket
and keep it there, warm and safe.

It's not enough for everything,
but it's more than I thought I'd have.
After all, a nickel is pure.
Many of the things it could buy aren't.

A nickel, if cared for, is pretty.
If it isn't, then it may not be.

A nickel has two sides,
each unlike the other.
One side for your sister
and one for your brother.

It's fun to share a warm nickel.
I hope I get one soon.

...just bein' Bluesy

Just keep your head down, Bluesy, that's where I find all of my nickels. I have sixteen already.

If the mob governs, man is ruled by ignorance; if the church governs, he is ruled by superstition; if the state governs, he is ruled by fear.

A delightful way to enjoy a nickel, Bluesy!
