THE WHEN OF THEN
11 January 2014
http://soundcloud.com/diana-van-den-berg-2/the-when-of-then

My sky quivers with whispers
of yestermoments
that taint the sighs of nearly now
and tint, with faint echoes of summer love and laughter,
panoramic vistas
that swing along the sandy shore,
with the salty taste of sun-warm lips
and the rush and hush of waves
gentle-strong and shock-cold,
balm under a blazing sun . . .
and the gradual closing
and cooling
of the focus
to the now
that forgot
to
be.

I read a poem today in one of the subscriptions I enjoy, and I read it several times; only today I finally read it AND the words....I was replacing the words with their sound alikes...and it suddenly fell into place. Your poetry is always in place, and I enjoy my time perusing them.
