the nectar of goodness and gratification
can be suspended when wild
abandon emotions are running wild
like now
with an inadequacy of self
you stand there
flinging what you have concealed within your heart
forever losing all sense of shame
she is then
Aphrodite the feminine glamour and charm
wrapped up in a nineteen fifties kind of innocence

I enjoyed the poem and the visual on the contrast of the woman that shatters the core of the reader

Thank you for your comments, Emma. Hope things are good (as they can be) where you are.

You've built the image of one of those early pin-up women in my head, wanton and sexy, as only Aphrodite could be.

glad this popped back up since I've been back!
