Sippin a Timmy's in London

~~~
Mid-morning's aeronaut rises from favored cup ...
Colombia's savory bouquet
co-mingled
with silence
as respite whispers of another day
Floating ...
somewhere  . . .  beneath canopies of hand-dyed batik
sharing moments
basking in lingered reverie
Simplicity ...
First sip
to last sigh
Okay, I can relate to that first sip of "Colombia's savory bouquet," although I had to look up batik. I have a cup of the java sitting to the left of this keyboard. Liked your different way of assessing the wonders of this magical brew.
This is a quiet, somehow comfortable, poem. Rather like the cup, I suspect.
I can smell the aroma and see the places that it took you.  Wonderful imagery comes from the sense of smell and taste
Mmmm, coffee is much more than just a drink as you have deftly described. It is a wonderfully unique ritual.
Delicious . . . both the poem and the coffee!
