not one thing
can come between
the moon
and love’s sweet song
listen to it, listen to it
harken and understand its allure
time standing still
passion growing

Nothing except cloudy skies . . .
oh wait . . . maybe it's my cataracts!

Sorry, Jerry, but sometimes only humor can dampen the pain . . .

Soak up all that moonlight you can, while you can.

I hear you, Krawdad. Love/Lust. The moon. So quickly acquired. So quickly lost.

Appreciate your kind comments, Yann. I suppose love is the most thing poets write about.

Yes indeed, Emma, the moon has hastened many a love affair and helped the population of the planet Earth, that's a natural face. Thank you for being here today.

Well, maybe "cloudy skies"...
But it's lovely anyway

And I remember one optimist said:
"Love will pierce the dark cloud
Of unknowing and reveal
All that you were dreaming
And believe..."

Thank you Gale. I have found out that where there is an optimist there is, invariably, a pessimist lurking somewhere.

I have confidence that you will one day be an engine driver, Gale.

Generally speaking "machinist" rhymes with "optimist/pessimist/realist" better than "engine driver"
Do you know that anecdote, Jerry?

No, Gale, the only antidote I know of is cheap California burgundy. Heh.Heh

Are you kidding?
Not "antidote", but "anecdote" (a funny story)

I meant the story about three men.
The pessimist sees nothing but darkness around him.
The optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
The realist sees that it's just a train rushing toward them.
And only machinist of the train sees three idiots on the rails.

Sorry for such off top )
