We are rime hard upon edge of life,
walking earth through fog of change,
to vanish thus to rearrange,
to morph into successive lives
that crystallize as vanish points before the eyes
of almost monkeys clawing on through time.

In magic moments of midnight,
when sleep beckons deep in Morpheus' arms,
where I drift free as leaves soft on wind
to sift better worlds,
of lovers past,
scenes of victories resplendent,
of defeats bitter pall,
crystalline dreams of home long lost to me
in higher rents of galaxy
all remembered as needs must be,
we are so few,
so precious few.

Your wise words are unfaltering. The softness of their falling belies the avalanche of their meaning.

Absolutely love this, Mr. Ice. Really hits home for those of us who are aware.

An eternal truth, Mr. C! Well done!

The few live
in the timeless time
of midnight
lives.
