Medieval Mastication

A knight on his steed,
with regret, never freed
a dragon chained inside a cave,
The poor lonesome beast,
the main course in a feast
of a ravenous virgin named Mave,

The scourge of the land,
was this damsels demand
that dragons were haute de cuisine,
The king lost his reason,
the beasts weren't in season
how could he placate this foul teen?

He sent a decree,
in the hope she would see
the error of her addiction,
"Dragon and chips,
will go straight to your hips
so says the royal physician"

Fretfully waiting,
his bedchamber pacing
the king waited for her reply,
The words caught in his throat
on receiving her note
"Well then just bring me gryphon...
with fries!"

Is this heaven?

shoeless Joe Jackson.

A feast for sure, this was delightful Olias! The turkey will be glad to know he stayed off the menu today! Much enjoyed this.

Happy Holidays!

Best wishes,
Kit
