How to tame a lions heart?
I muse
When roaring long
And high its bristled mane
Breaks the wind
What counterparts diffuse
The heated passions
Fought for feasted gains?
What would halt
Such mighty raging growls?
This prowling legend
What faint message
Might a mighty fighter tame?
Oh beast! Who's fury
Makes the faint
Faint
To flee the shadows
What quant ballad
Might be whispered in his ear
But peace!?
Peace! Be still!
From Tumultuous gain!
What wearing words could halt such pain?
What staff, or bow, or bullet
Makes my young and daring heart
To take a bow?
And who?
Might by such courage pierce me through and through?
My love! It's you!
I know in musing
By such bruising
You do now!
You tame a lion!
And his whole, strong, beating heart
Just
By your brow!

Wow... intense piece here, Kent.  Great symbolism.
