I glean thoughts from cobble rocks
Where since hence ceased lives
Once walked, talked, stood.
Still... my mind filled full
To wonder what was
Strange how rocks talk
Like the elderly, slowly
Saying only what is meet
Whispering
Wears of warn words
bidding us adieu

"Striking thoughts make my mouth thunder as I brain storm."

I really love the pondering in this, almost as much as the anthropomorphic and imaginative connection with the rocks . . . a poem after my own heart.

I love your signature as well, energised and enthusiastic thought being a constant for me.

I like the mood...the essence of this piece.

Reminds me a bit of "The Pity of the Leaves", by Edwin Arlington Robinson.

Look it up. You will know what I mean.
