Skies are on fire with
all the ripe colors
pouring between
the hollows the leaves
have left

over the moon we go
counting canaries
and all that the trees
shook off

kicking them up
ten at a time

burgundy, tangerine, teal, taupe
and olive green

you and me
holding hands

dancing with leaves

like children
we play

A very fun poem, Emma. Sorta like wishful thinking, or flashback to yesteryear. Whatever, it was a fun poem and I had fun reading it.
