Your tributaries littered in
yesterday's yellows,  cobblestones
flooded with purple confetti

there for the price of a rhyme
we go, contortionists,
vagabonds, and latter day prophets

hence, you shadow me in puddles
of deep reminder

blueprints of how and when we flew
endless miles, over and above
anyone, anything, that dared to
extinguish us

yet here we are -

a bit out of sorts, but
we thrive in the glow of
the embers, sweet consolation
in our nightingale's song

buried deep in the heart
of November

You have captured the essence of what was once and can n3ever be again . . . However, there can be a newness just around the corner you turn. Don't believe me. It happened to me and I was so "out of it" I thought I would never be loved again. (This is Jerrypat2 . . .)
