NEVER-ENDING
17 October 2013

When the project
is uphill,
steep and twisting,
and each hilltop reached
reveals another
and storm-cloud deadlines
threaten breath;
and perseverance
and determination
become sick jokes;

there is always
a creeper,
a grass blade,
a branch,
a spider-web thread,
deep within your psyche
to hang on to,
cautiously
and without panic
and with logical strategy,
to pull yourself up
past the last
obstacle,
in time,
somehow.

The trick is
to find it.

Oh, it's very strong, Owl!
You're right, the trick is to find it )

It reminds me of one song, called "Hope", which I also wanted to translate into English.

P.S. By the way, I've done what I promised, I've recorded my English vocal and added the link to the comments: /pip/Forum113/HTML/004070.html

Thank you, Galina, for understanding my poem and its heart, so well.  I would love to read your translation of the poem “Hope” and hear you sing it.

I have just listened to your English version of your vocal and left a comment in Sound Cloud.  Like your singing voice, your Russian accent is magical and way beyond beautiful.  Though I don’t have time available to me now, I just had to listen to it twice.  Thank you!

Owl,I missed this way back and am so happy you brought it up for A Damien.As I read his poem I also thought of a spiders web all shiny with the morning dew as the sun spreads rays upon it.What could be more beautiful than this scene to greet a morning. How I feel for Damien and the others here who feel his daily and hourly inner pain. I have brought up six beautiful and intelligent children who as adults share that pain, each in a different way live the life packed with these feelings that do not show on the outside, draining the life from them.SO few really understand. I try but I can not change it for them.Best to you Owl.I know you have a deep  understanding for others as you yourself live a hard life. JO

Martyjo, what a beautiful Martyjo-reply!  I was enriched by every single word all the way through.  You are one of God's angels sent to bless us all.  I KNOW you DO make it better for your children.  How blessed and lucky they are to have you as a mother!  Just paused my typing to imagine just HOW blessed and lucky they are!  Thank you for being such a wonderful friend.
