She was so young and restless with the wind
her blonde curves, twirls of the Dead Sea
with her mothers numbers engrained
for far too long.

She was such a beautiful young woman,
so full of life
that sometimes its those that take the world for granted
those that take that too much up of the worlds joy
that disallow others to feel the joy she should have left

The ballet dancer
with her wrists; tiny
shaped upwards towards the bedroom ceiling
as her white contour dress fit perfectly
slightly above her knees
as it settled into her skin.

For the beauty of a woman never loses its youth
and she, young and vital,
mother;
the woman who took me to school with her heart in another country
in another place
where her real life should have been
and through the cracks and creaks of the wall
the fights with the blood that ran through her own family
became tormented as their color began to fade over the years

I hope one day that face will finally brighten
will feel the joy of life
For at the sake of her happiness
I would concede love and all of my friendships
just so she could experience nirvana for once in her life

So here is my promise
my ode to silence;
I will succeed
just so I can show her that it was all worth it
the journey
the sacrifices to leave her homeland
where the honey still drips
and the humidity still rips through June
just so I know she finally got to saw the sun rise
with her eyes still young and beautiful
thriving,
running through the small right side of her grandmas cherry tomato fields
just as she did when she was a small child.
