I touched her head like gold made wind move through silver
so her bangs fell to the ground until the rise of the hills
Her neck came down towards the ground,
where his hands gently touched  her bangs
like her mother used to when she was just a young child
with the window at her backside,
the mural of her father looking straight down at her

I felt the ease of her breath onto the canvass of the air
the way she positioned herself on her bed
with the linens passing each corner
and her body, shaking, her naval making its way
through to my curved hands

her heart,
the eyelashes of a woman
whose eyes could not keep changing
so, she waited
waited until I touched her
and the night gave its signature sigh
for us to commence that fateful night.
