far too much horrific news
these days in unsubstantial days of ridiculousness
your nights are shattered
with substandard discourse with the celestial
ahhh . . . too many disheartening lies
one after the other
we have regrets of things done past
with plans for shelter
stocking up on
necessary provisions for the long haul
lots of videos, movies made before Technicolor
(remember those?)
in your exile you need as much comfort as possible
lots of nostalgic thing around you
music, yes, but you disdain the rock and rap
preferring the gentle horn of Stan Getz
you'll need books, poetry and Greek tragedies
not to forget certain risqué material
so you hide
from your fears
a concession to your lasciviousness
the world implodes around you
so there you are
trying to hide and purge yourself
lock what you can
camouflage all the rest
wishing you had an underground vault
so you hunker down
give in to your trepidation
wondering what is going on in the world you have left
you have trouble sleeping
the books and music and risqué material
are all a turn-off
foreboding consumes you
all the comforts you've secreted
inside your concealed fortress
away from the uncivilized world
takes all your concentration
will not allow
pleasure to enter within your soul
your entire days and nights are consumed
wondering when you can dare
venture out into the world
and when you do
you have no idea if the world will still be there
and if it is
will the carnage have ceased

apocalypse projection (ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!)
I don't want to go there Jerry, not now, things are looking good for a change in the narrow vision of my world. I'd rather be in denial of the big picture a while longer...
Your vision is hard to ignore my friend.

Deny all you want if it feels good to you. Can't blame you. Thanks a bunch.

yea, that end of the world thing I don't want to know about unless I have to, especially when I close my eyes to go to sleep, but I know the reality of the world in which we are living, so I will wince for now ......

Hah! Wince away, Emma. There are some very difficult times on the way to America I maintain. It is coming. Shopping Centers. Crowed subways. It is coming. Whey they care not for their own lives they sure do not care for anyone else, unless, of course if you are Muslim. Even so . . . They kill their own. Thank you for showing up here today.
