This day is not yet here, but it is so much closer now that it was six years ago.

<><><><><><><><>

come one come all
let us gnaw on the heel of shame
come
and why not
we had a hand in making
the day what it is
we have sat back
and waited
for this day to metamorphose
we kept silent
as the fools we elected
sold America out from under us
and now
while we're tasting the bitter dregs
in our throats
it is compatible with the blackness of our souls
there are no more dreams
our once great land
has hardly no work force, honest or not
jobs are things of the past
we live off government dole
which is
in reality spitting in our faces
turning us into
slaves of the government largesse
so come
gather round the food stamp gutter
all hope lost
not even enough mettle
to clench our fist

This about sums it up, Jerry. We are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Wait for it...wait for it.

Thank you Ida, seems that is all we are doing is waiting. The so-called opposition leadership looks like the Keystone Cops.

I'll grant you it is a mess, and we may disagree on how and why but the results are the same. My outrage is the continuous opposition for opposition's sake. The those in power that have, making decisions that will detrimentally  effect the have nots... And then having the nerve to act as if they are not pouring gas on the fire. It is sickening. Washington would be singing a different tune if they had to get by on what we do Jerry. But as long as congress is immune from the hardships caused by its selfserving decisions, the voices of those few true public servants will be drowned out by the sickening sounds of greed.
Thanks for the soap box Jerry.

You're welcome, Lori, for the soapbox. Thank you for stopping by and venting.
