Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2013-09-18 07:00 AM

I poured my heart out
on you in my caresses
but you didn't feel
my tears fall
upon you as you slept
My lips couldn't kiss
your skin deep enough
to satisfy my longing
for that lost look
that special touch
you had for me
I held you close
until you began
to twitch and jerk
in your dreams
It was as if
my loving touches
brought you nightmares
I poured my heart out
for you on my pillow
so you wouldn't hear
my tears fall
for you as you slept

Alison, I'm a very punny person myself, there is nothing to pardon. Thanks for the read and kind words.

this really comes across the page in the deepest spot where the heart feels that loss
where love once lived
sad, but good

Emma,
Tragic but true, I believe love still lives here, it is just locked in a dungeon wasting away waiting to be rescued while we argue over who lost the key to the dungeon door.
