Listening to every heart

Serenity’s Garden Party…

The sun shone bright and called to me
Whispering low, “Come; see Serenity,
A garden for poets and artists to eye,
Something that even may make you sigh.”

So I went to the compass for direction, and more,
And found some peace near heaven’s door.
I gazed at the benches and imagined the chatter
Of poets and friends, over various matters.

The Sun said, “Come, and stroll with me,
Just be quiet and see what you see…”
So can you imagine my child-like delight
To see the swallowtail come and alight…

With colors before me, my breath, it was taken ~
For too much stress leaves the body forsaken…
I’m glad I listened to sounds of the Sun
And thought of my poets, each, one by one…

And then Mr. Buckeye did the Cottoneyed Joe,
His partner then left, but he stayed on, so.
I winked at him and he posed for me,
And said, “Say Hi, to Serenity.”

Serenity surrounded me in whispered delight,
A garden she found, hence peace, this night;
And as for me, my poet friends…
Listen when Sun says, “Come here, round this bend….”

A tender welcome into Peace
on leaving pain's mortal fleece
To find her secret garden's room
Home again midst Karen's bloom.
Karilea, I hope she knows this gentle tribute is the sum of those who love her.  I am so sorry for the tears taking toll upon her family at this time.  ~

So many loved and cared for her. We are all still in a state of sorrow and longing for one of the smartest, sharpest, women I have ever known. She had the power of words, and knew how to use them to make you laugh or cry or dream or relax or just ponder~ because even when we did not fully understand something she wrote, it left us feeling it meant something and we just did not get it. We sometimes even asked straight out for an answer or a reason or something to help us to appreciate her story. She had it all but she never could realize her full worth as a woman, a mother a friend. She was open and honest and yet self doubtful of her worth. We will for a very long time feel the loss of her presence. She was one whom all who really knew her loved her deeply for being just who she was. Good bye my friend,my other daughter You will be missed. but never forgotten. (((hugs)) to you rest peaceful  jo perry
