More than I can dream

Down all the rolling
years and waning hours
of this ever-fleeting life,
when ten thousand
sorrows twist the
melancholy mind,
old and all alone I
must simply trust that
the pensive Autumn mist
and mystic moonlit
shifting shadows
know far, far more
than I could ever
  dream

We all must trust, Bruce. What else can we do? Love your way of expressing it.

I agree, we have to give our dreams and consciousness to the power around us, Bruce

Thanks to each of you for your most kind comments on this 'write.'  I hope that I do provide a brief respite from the hard crush of per diem 'reality' for some of you and that I give a 'voice' to Nature as well.  I've pretty much 'outlived my usefulness' to this sad 'ol world in all other aspects of my 'life.' Poetry, at it's best, is a glimpse of a far, far better, 'timeless' realm of perfect truth and beauty beyond this veil of endless strife and tears.

sdreampoet - We live on a little planet in a tiny solar system of a universe barely out of its diapers. We haven't been around long enough to become wise yet of most things. Yet we are indeed dreamers of big things. There's hope. Enjoyed your work SDP. Namyh
