The Last Time I Saw My Baby

She looked so beautiful
like an angel
luring me
enticing me
inviting me into
her world;
a place of happiness
and contentment
a palace of love
and desire,
the pleasures of
a kiss
placed upon her lips
the sweetness of her smile
the fulfillment I feel
as she takes my hand
and tells me how much
she loves me.

when love is at this stage there is nothing better, a reminder of why the fight is worth the risk, sweetly put and enjoyed
