No tyrant ever came to power
by showing true colors
to those who would adore him.
First he must entice
with promises and gifts.
"Come closer...closer...closer..."
You will not hear
the door close behind you
as the crowd cheers wildly.
Those who might have warned you
remain silent
And the few who tried to speak
are silenced.
