      Imperishable Love

Step beyond the crimson
long-shadow sunset
and  gentle evening twilight
into this ancient forest
world of untouched
resplendent elegance,
where the moon wears a
fine midnight-velvet cloak
of free-floating clouds,
drifting galaxies, and
‘Deep-Time’ dreams
in a vast-eternal sky
as clear as the mind
and heart that sing
a wilderness melody,
with spirit in harmony,
of transience, truth,
enlightenment,
penultimate freedom,
joy, and imperishable
   love.

You write of your surroundings with a freedom within your words which are a godsend, Bruce. You give us a heaven on earth.

Yes, I agree with Jerry. Seeing the world through your eyes is a blessing.

Thanks Jerry and Lori for your most kind comments on this my latest ever-so-humble lil' "poetic scribble!" ...

I hope that I give fair 'voice' to both Romanticism and the ever-vanishing wilderness (two
things, I believe, that this double-post-modern world needs rather more not less of?!)
