Daiseys are her favorite
I don't know why
Maybe it is simply
their understated elegance
that delights her eye
Could it be the dainty white
of its many petals
or the sunshine yellow
of its soft middle
Perhaps the cheerful
nature of it's countnance
the happy bobbing
of heads in the breeze
where her joy does lie
Daisey are her favorite
I don't know why

Whatever the reason, I feel she will present you with a grateful smile. Eighty-four. Ten years older than me. Something to shoot for. I enjoyed his.

She has already blessed me with her laughter this morning....I told her I would not be able to give her 84 birthday swats or my arm would fall off and I couldn't give her 84 birthday kisses or my lips would fall off. She also laughed when I sang her happy birthday (if you have ever heard my sing you'd know why)

My mom Rose, 85 years young,  loves roses
Yours the daisies, we are lucky ladies
to still enjoy their sweet fragrances

I loved this, Lori,  The perspective of one watching someone else draw joy from something, while not truly not understanding the whys and the hows of it, is like the sum of the lifelong equation that is me. Much enjoyed.
