Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The most beatiful of roses
can lack a fragrance
That distinctively sweet
aroma of romance

Each and every one
has it's size and shape
of painful thorn
An inherent need
of gloving for protection

Bossomed branches
with hybred blooms
can die from the cold
Only to return as
a hardy wild red

Wild pink or yellow roses
flourish on barbed wire trellis
along the many roadsides
all of which lead home

A very deep piece of writing, Lori. Much to ponder.
