               Song of Ourselves

On this grand immortal moon-bright night
of floating clouds and weightless dreams,
in this place of song and sorrow where
wandering hearts come to speak with the
the wind and ancestral spirit-shadows of
   these ancient woods
to transcend for a moment our smallness
and the careworn anthem of ourselves;
why must we call the apparent distance
between our souls and the stars ‘reality,’
for our hearts are our true compasses
on the universal sea of energy and
consciousness with which we are one.

Your poetry is uplifting and full of hope. I read your reply and more times than not I try to leave a kind word for you....rarely is my reply acknowledged by you....I'm sorry you feel you don't get enough feedback...its pretty quiet around here these days but your writing is always beautiful.
