In dire need, a pocked
marked field where crimson
ruled, is scant in voice with
alms for the afflicted, begs
for pardon of her parching as
noon time skies in cloud express
stack in volumes, pretty blocks of
greys and whites, connected

but sky won't cry
her tears just yet,
rainclouds brew and gift
the eye with beauty
in the domes of drops, that stall
a bit to the dismay
of life below that waits relief,
as beauty strays for those in need,
temporarily neglected
