Once in a great while...
a pure, flawless note
rings from the bell of truth
with such undeniable clarity
that even the deaf may hear.

Wonderfully stated, Ida, and you are as right as rain. When that "bell of truth" is sounded it can carry the day forever.

... but perhaps not often enough in this sad 'ol double-post-modern world where
'truth' (like so much else) seems to be considered 'plastic and disposable' by
most people. ... well 'penned' indeed!

You remind us beautifully of this truth, dear Ida.

The worst are those who hear, but pretend not having heard.

I love your flashes of wisdom!

Marchmadness - You have definitely captured something quite beautiful here. Truth can be crushed to earth and it will still rise. Somehow the human heart can hear it even when it's buried and its deafening silence is muted. You did real, real good with this one Ida. I absolutely, undeniably loved it. Namyh

Oh my.  I hope you don't mind if I put this in my library...
