Considering

each broken bit

examined for integrity

for color

shape

and memory

these pieces variant

of me

arranged to form

the symmetry

remnants of failed tempering

porcelain and pottery

reveal the dreams

reality

from patterns

which I now concede

were wishes never meant to be.

Yet?

patient possibility

imagination

fortitude

fearless creativity

might salvage

shame and sad defeat

and I could be

myself, imperfectly

but freed

from all I'd thought

I ought to be

those failures which failed

miserably

just might become

the best of me

re-arranged

my past between

sharp edges of what used to be

made smooth again

held beautifully

with grains of time for grout.

Aww, thank you, Lady, you made me smile. Never forget that you are a real person under that cloud you carry around.

Lori?

And Jerry? You helped me look at things differently, I appreciate that more than you know.

(And have you noticed how beautiful the sunsets have been with my dark clouds?

"With grains of time for grout"

Love that line.  The number on ingrediant in your typical information age, plastic person... though some of us aren't plastic at all, and that's why we see those grains for what they are.

Enjoyable read, K.

Got to quote these lines

"my past between

sharp edges of what used to be

made smooth again

held beautifully

with grains of time for grout."

Life would be so much easier if we all looked at things the same way and all saw the same thing but not to be, I guess.  Enjoyed the read!
