Faint thoughts are mine to bear,
Inside my mind; stale air.
Like a tide washed ashore,
Inside me, many doors.
Memory is obscure,
There are lots of detours.
I forget what I've known,
It hurts down to the bone.
Recalling the bad times,
Not good times, that's a crime.

The brain is a funny thing. It remembers everything but it will only let us recall what it wants to.  And yes the bad memories do have a way of overshadowing the good.

You are correct, Lori, as you are so often. I suppose the brain reminds us of those things in order to impress upon us to walk straight. Thank you for your input.

Ah, you speak of the crime that has been my mantra.  Good reflections here...  liked the rhyme as well.

Remembering is good as long as we don't forget to remember the good and not only the bad.  Damn memory!  It gets in the way sometimes.
