When I'm Gone

When I never write again
you shall not even know I am gone,
not for long ~
no, and I am not wrong,
you'll not know it, when I'm gone.

When I never write again,
can't imagine the where or when,
but if it should happen, then,
won't be for long ~
no, and I am never wrong...

for I have a beautiful dream
you see,
of writing in calligraphy ~
for a scribe of God is what I'll be...
and I am not wrong,
you'll not know it when I am gone.

For in your dreams I'll come to you
and softly muse you with a song or two,
leading your fantasies to sway away,
to guide you in your dreams
this day ~
no, you'll not know it when I am gone.

If, for a moment, you seem alone
seek the Sun then you shall see
a brilliant little reminder of me,
strong enough to melt the stone,
yes, and I am not wrong…

you'll not know it when I am gone.

~*~

not KNOW?

*smile*

The power went out--in my room only. And yeah, I know, sometimes a tripped breaker is just a tripped breaker, but the timing was actually ...trippy.

?

OH.

You'd have to know why that's weird. Our last conversation...she was taking me to task about getting my ass out of bed. Point made, Helen. Very cute.

Lady G - Louise does it all the time to me...our Bridget Shenachie, that was once here at PiP...so if you had a daily connection with our Helen, do know, it shall be so, and smile with her, each and every time.

I wish you...better health.

Didn't mean to go on about me. (mine is just a quarterly nuisance)

just one of the many things she and I went on about--we shared the same sardonic humor about life's little nasties as well.

The stories! The laughter through tears... I will hear her voice forever...

Remembering dear Helen through your poignant words, dear Karilea. Yes, there are the dreams that make it seem as if no separation has occurred. It's a gift, so precious.

Love,

Well, I have no favorites on this subject - other than Helen of course.  I think it's wonderful that everyone is writing to/for/about her, and beautifully so . . . so I'm just going to add this to everyone's piece so you'll know I was here, read, and experienced again, the tears for her...

To not know and still remember. There's the ache. Thank you Karilea for such a thoughtful recall.
